As a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity I am a longtime supporter of breast cancer education and awareness. Because breast cancer is now more treatable than ever, early detection is KEY so we can celebrate SURVIVORSHIP!
In addition to my passion for breast cancer awareness, I am also an associate at Gwinnett Medical Center. The funds from Paint Gwinnett Pink will help assist with those patients of ours who have high out of pocket cost for diagnostic mammograms. We found that many of our patients who had screening mammograms were called back but would put off scheduling for a year due to financial hardships.
Our goal is to make sure that no one goes without a mammogram due to financial challenges. Ultimately, we want to diagnose patients at stage 0 or stage l with the intent to CURE the disease versus diagnosing at stage ll, lll and lV.
Early detection, self awareness and prevention is our focus. Also, those patients who need assistance with surgical consultations and treatment comfort items will benefit from this fund.
A portion of the funds will also help the Gwinnett Breast Center at Gwinnett Medical Center purchase upgraded mammography equipment so we can better serve our patients.
Thank you very much for your consideration in donating to this wonderful cause!
